The PrISM project aims to collect ice accretion and shedding data for a propeller representative of a large transport category aircraft. The test bench "PropellerRig" at RTA will be upgraded to allow higher torque, and an ice impact energy measurement system will be developed. With testing performed in both Appendix C and Appendix O icing conditions, and supporting numerical
analysis, the overall capability will be significantly improved compared to current global state of the art.
