RTA is strongly committed to data protection. We will therefore process your data exclusively in accordance with the statutory provisions. This Privacy Policy provides information about the principles we follow when handling data within the company and on our website.

1. Personal data

When you contact RTA or if another legal basis exists in accordance with the GDPR, the data provided by you will be processed in compliance with applicable data protection regulations and civil law provisions. Your data will be processed only to the extent required.

Personal data stored by RTA include all data containing personal or factual details:

  • telephone number,
  • date of birth (if required),
  • gender,
  • videos and photos recorded as part of RTA events or projects.

Use of this website is generally possible without having to provide personal data.

If you are of the opinion that the processing of your personal data by RTA infringes applicable data protection regulations or that your data protection rights have been violated in any other way, you may lodge a complaint with the responsible supervisory authority. The competent authority for Austria is the Data Protection Authority.

3. Data Security

Your personal data are protected using appropriate organisational and technical measures. These measures provide protection in particular against unauthorised, unlawful or accidental access, processing, loss, use and manipulation.

Notwithstanding our efforts to ensure an appropriately high standard of due diligence, it cannot be ruled out that information provided by you online can be accessed and used by other persons.

Please note that we can therefore accept no liability whatsoever for the disclosure of information caused by errors in data transmission that are outside our control and/or unauthorised access by third parties (e.g. hacking of an email account or a telephone).

4. Use of data

We will process the data provided to us only for the purposes covered by your consent or by statutory provisions. Use for statistical purposes shall be excepted provided that the relevant data have been anonymised.

5. Data transfer to third parties

It may be necessary to transfer data to third parties to the extent required in order to meet the legitimate interests of RTA. Your contact details will only be transferred to third parties in compliance with statutory provisions (including but not limited to performance of the contract or pre-contractual project preparation).

The collection or transfer of personal data to governmental institutions and authorities will only be carried out in accordance with mandatory statutory provisions.

Some of the recipients of your personal data mentioned above are located outside Austria or process your personal data there. Other countries may not provide the same level of data protection as Austria. RTA will transfer your personal data only to countries which provide an adequate level of data protection according to the EU Commission, or we will take measures to ensure that all recipients provide an adequate level of data protection.

6. Notification of data breaches

RTA makes every effort to ensure that data breaches are detected early and will notify you or the competent supervisory authority of any breaches, including the data categories concerned.

7. Retention of data

Data will not be retained for longer than necessary for the purpose of performing the contractual or statutory obligations and defending against liability claims.

8. Server log files

Data about access to this website is recorded and saved as server log files in order to optimise this website in terms of system performance and usability. The following data will be logged:

At every visit of this website, log files (website visited; time of access; volume of data sent in bytes; source/reference from which you came to the site; browser used; operating system used; IP address used) are filed and automatically forwarded to the server of this site. This can be prevented in the settings of your individual browser.

Such data cannot be associated with the user unless using additional data sources. RTA Rail Tec Arsenal Fahrzeugversuchsanlage GmbH does not conduct a match of log files with other data sources. The data is processed only for statistical analysis. No profiling is carried out.

We reserve the right to examine the data subsequently if there are concrete indications of unlawful use.

9. Cookies
