The ÖBB ordered 101 sets of the Cityjet. 31 for commuting between Vienna and Lower Austria, 35 for the regional line within Lower Austria, 18 for the regional line within Styria and another 17 for the regional line within Upper Austria. The Burgenland also thinks about purchasing such trains (left: Hans Niessl, govenor of Burgenland).
Right after the presentation the cityjet could be visited during live testing in the climatic wind tunnel.
